With just over 70 days to go until Election Day, it was a busy week for Team Kuster travelling across the district and talking to voters - here are some of the highlights!
The week started with Annie attending a meeting of the Weare Democrats. The turnout was high and so was the energy in the room - and Annie even received a standing ovation after her remarks. It was fantastic to meet with everyone who attended - including Annie’s 4th Grade math teacher, pictured here with some great local candidates and members of the Weare Democratic Committee!
On Tuesday we headed to Sullivan County for an ice cream social at The Ice Cream Machine in downtown Charlestown. It was great to meet with so many local supporters and talk with the owner, John, as well as candidate for the NH House of Representatives Russ Boland.
After Charlestown we continued onto Cornish for a house party. A big thank you to our host, Annabelle Cohen, and all the volunteers who organised the event. It was great to see the Chair of the local Democrats, Judy Kauffman, there as well - and Annie even came away with a new T-Shirt!
During the week we were also thrilled to receive the endorsement of the NH Alliance for Retired Americans. They represent 4,000,000 seniors across America and recognize our commitment to providing a secure retirement for NH’s seniors. According to NHARA President Charlie Balban, Annie’s “strong commitment to protect Medicare from privatization and benefit cuts demonstrate her commitment to improving the quality of life for older Americans.”
The weekend marked our huge People vs PACs weekend of action. From Keene and Nashua to Lebanon and Lancaster, our organizers and volunteers set out to counter $3 million of SuperPAC money already invested in this race with a huge goal of 3000 conversations in a single weekend! Here are three of our volunteers in Harrisville:
The weekend also brought some beautiful weather for the Nashua Democrats picnic. The Nashua Democrats are doing a fantastic job, and it was great to see so many committee meetings and local candidates, including NH Senate candidate Betty Lasky.
From Nashua we continued on to the Amherst Democrats barbecue, where a great turnout from Amherst and the surrounding region came to hear Annie speak. Here’s Annie with Trudy Morgan, chair of the Milford Democrats.
Thank you to all the volunteers and friends who made this week possible! To get involved with our people-powered campaign, click here.
