Congressman Bass Votes to Send More Jobs Overseas
Congressman Bass once again honored his extremist pledge to protect tax loopholes and subsidies for Big Business. Congressman Bass stood by his Americans for Tax Reform’s Taxpayer Protection Pledge by voting against a motion that would have encouraged Oil Companies to keep jobs in the U.S.
“New Hampshire families deserve a Representative that stands for them and not for Big Oil and Big Business,” said Garrick Delzell, Annie Kuster’s Campaign Manager. “While Granite Staters struggle to find jobs Bass has continued to support outsourcing. Congressman Bass and Governor Romney agree that the best way to increase New Hampshire jobs is by sending jobs overseas.”

BACKGROUND
Congressman Bass Voted to Help Protect Tax Breaks for Oil Companies. On June 21, 2012, Congressman Bass voted against a motion to prohibit new leases for major integrated oil companies unless they agreed not to take special tax breaks. The motion also would encourage the major integrated oil companies obtaining oil and gas leases under the legislation to use only materials made in the United States in drilling operations and to avoid outsourcing jobs. The motion was introduced by Rep. Louise Slaughter. [HR 4480, Vote #409, 6/21/12]
