All of the Republican members of New Hampshire’s Washington delegation called today for Rep. Todd Akin to withdraw his candidacy for the U.S. Senate.
Akin, a Missouri Republican who recently won the primary battle to face Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill, said recently that women rarely become pregnant following a “legitimate rape.”
Rep. Charlie Bass was the first N.H. Republican to call on Akin to suspend his campaign, after being urged to do so by his Democratic opponent, Ann McLane Kuster.
