Last week on the Kuster campaign

Last week we officially launched our campaign when Annie filed as a candidate for Congress in New Hampshire’s Second District. We also had productive meetings with community leaders, and met with dozens of supporters at house parties across the district. Here are some of the highlights:

On Tuesday night we traveled north to Franconia for a house party at the historic Horse and Hound Inn. It was a fantastic event with over 50 people - thank you to everyone who attended!

On Wednesday Annie met with Steve Ahnen, the head of the New Hampshire Hospital Association, to talk about the unique issues New Hampshire hospitals are facing. Next she spoke at a barbecue held by the American Postal Workers Union, who have endorsed Annie’s candidacy.

Lastly, Annie visited Weare for a house party at the home of Ellen Dokton where she met with many wonderful supporters, including Aaron Gill, a candidate for the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

On Thursday our campaign officially launched as Annie filed as a candidate for Congress in New Hampshire’s Second District. Over two hundred supporters rallied outside the State House in Concord to hear Annie speak about her plan to bring a new approach to Congress - here’s her full speech:

Annie’s filing was in the media across the state, including in the Nashua Telegraph, the Concord Monitor, the Union Leader, and Patch.com. After the filing we had an open house with volunteers and supporters at our brand new office on Main Street.

On Friday Annie connected with leading national grassroots organizations including Emily’s List, the Women’s Campaign Fund, and Democracy for America, at Netroots Nation in Providence, Rhode Island. Here’s Annie with candidate for U.S. Senate Elizabeth Warren:

Thank you to everyone who we met with last week on the campaign trail, and if you’d like to get involved we would love to hear from you! Click here to find out more.
