Kuster Says She’s Going to Win this Time
Is the second time a charm?
That is what Attorney Ann McLane Kuster has to be wondering as she takes a second a stab at challenging U.S. Rep. Charles Bass, attempting to recapture New Hampshire’s 2nd District seat for the Democrats.
A throng of supporters were at the Statehouse on June 7 as Kuster signed up to run.
“We’re going to win this time!” she shouted to the cheers of supporters in the hallways outside the Secretary of State’s Office.
The contest is considered one of the hottest congressional races in the country, based partly on the tough battle two years ago. In 2010, Kuster fell 3,550 votes shy of upsetting Bass, a Republican from Peterborough who previously held the 2nd District seat for 12 years.
