Moments ago the Ryan budget was passed in the House of Representatives, and Congressman Bass threw his support behind the plan.
Last week, Annie wrote a letter to Congressman Bass, pledging to stand up for Medicare and urging him to do the same. More than 2,800 of New Hampshire voters added their name to Annie’s letter, but Bass has once again chosen to protect the interests of oil corporations at the expense of middle class families.
Yesterday we delivered Annie’s letter to Congressman Bass’ office with local New Hampshire residents:
Congressman Bass may have turned his back on middle class families, but we will continue to fight for Medicare and our seniors. And in November we are going to take back this seat for middle class families.
Annie’s full letter to Congressman Bass:
Congressman Bass and House Republicans -
Dismantling Medicare while protecting tax cuts for the wealthy is shameful. The Ryan budget would end Medicare as we know it, replacing Medicare with a voucher system that would make healthcare for seniors unaffordable. Our seniors have worked hard to earn their Medicare and Social Security benefits, and they deserve better.
I pledge to stand up for Medicare, not millionaires, and I urge you to do the same.
Ann McLane Kuster
Congressional candidate for New Hampshire’s Second District
