BusinessLeaders Back Kuster for Re-Election
**More than 70 business owners announce support for Kuster**
(Concord, NH) - Today, more than 70 business leaders from throughout New Hampshire announced their support for Annie Kuster’s re-election to Congress. Kuster has been a strong advocate for small businesses, which employ more than half of New Hampshire’s workforce. Earlier this year, Kuster unveiled her Jobs and Opportunity Agenda which includes provisions to strength small business growth in the Granite State through forward thinking tax policies that benefit small businesses and employees. Kuster has also sought to expand access to foreign markets which provides incredible opportunity for businesses in New Hampshire. The co-chairs of Business Leaders for Annie are Adria Bagshaw, VP of WH Bagshaw in Nashua, Steve Boucher, CEO of Airmar Technology in Milford, and Gary Hirshberg, Chairman of Stonyfield Farm in Londonderry.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy in the Granite State and if we can strengthen their growth it will benefit communities and families in our state,” said Kuster. “I’m proud to receive the support of these leaders who are the pillars of our communities and are helping to build the economy and future of New Hampshire. There’s so much that we can do to create an environment in which entrepreneurs and small businesses can succeed and thrive and the valuable perspective of these business leaders will help inform the policies that will build a Granite State rich in opportunity for all residents."
"I have the unique privilege of managing a business that has been family-owned for nearly 150 years, and is the oldest manufacturer of pins in the nation," said Adria Bagshaw, VP of WH Bagshaw in Nashua. "I'm supporting Annie Kuster because she is a consistent voice for New Hampshire small businesses, like ours, which are central to our local economy. She supports policies that will help business grow and has fought against President Trump's tariffs that have had a negative effect on our bottom line. I look forward to working hard to ensure she wins re-election this fall."
“Small businesses in New Hampshire need a strong advocate and that's what we have in Annie Kuster” said Steve Boucher, CEO of Airmar Technology in Milford. “Trump’s tariffs are adversely impacting our company by increasing our production cost and damaging our ability to compete in world markets. We export more than half of what we produce. Lower exports means fewer New Hampshire jobs. Annie knows that a robust workforce is critical for growing our economy and I'm a supporter of her legislation to expand skills training and apprenticeships. I’m proud to co-chair Business Leaders for Annie and will continue to advocate for her re-election.”
“Annie understands as well as any Member of Congress that Green Business is a win-win-win for employees, families, our planet and our economy,” said Gary Hirshberg, Chairman of Stonyfield Farm. “New Hampshire and our nation are fortunate to have her representing us in Washington.”
