In New Ad, Kuster Tells Story Of Her Late Mother, Highlights Need To Address Rising Prescription Drug Costs
Concord, NH - Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster released the latest ad in her campaign, which tells the story of her family's experience when her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. In the ad, “Mom,” Annie highlights the critical need to address the rising cost of prescription drugs, which have become unaffordable for many families across New Hampshire. In Congress, Annie is fighting to lower prescription drug costs by working to change the law to require Medicare to negotiate for lower drug prices.
"My mom was this incredibly caring and compassionate person. At the end of her life, she had Alzheimer's disease, and it changed our lives completely," says Annie Kuster in her new ad. "I understood what families go through when they can't afford the medications they need for the people they love. We need to lower prescription drug costs and to have Medicare negotiate a volume discount so that everybody benefits."
In addition to the ad that will run district wide on broadcast and cable, the campaign also released a long form digital video that goes deeper into why she fights for seniors across New Hampshire.
