As a volunteer political activist in the coordinated campaign of the New Hampshire Democrats, I have knocked on doors in Concord’s Ward 1, Penacook, through many election cycles.
That I can only leave literature and not talk politics with voters is an out-of-sight drawback of our pandemic times and the serious mismanagement of the public health crisis. Obviously, I support our national ticket of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Jeanne Shaheen, and Annie Kuster.
We also need state-level leaders who will favor working people. That includes Dan Feltes for governor. This is no year for ticket splitting if we want to remove the veto pen as an impediment to progress.
Our three incumbent state representatives from Penacook and nearby wards are worthy of support. I have known Art Ellison for decades as a union brother, progressive activist, and civil servant. Rebecca McWilliams brings a variety of progressive ideas, notably her efforts to combat climate change by encouraging clean renewable energy. Penacook voters are honored to address Steve Shurtleff as “Mr. Speaker,” a supporter of the entire Democratic agenda.
Please join me in voting for these fine Democrats.
