Kuster Statement On Joe Biden's Electoral College Victory
(Concord, NH) – Today, Congresswoman Kuster released the following statement on the victory of President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris in the Electoral College. After results were announced for Pennsylvania, Joe Biden has secured 273 electoral votes, and thus passes the 270 threshold to win the election.
"The election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is a reflection of the hard work, perseverance, and hope of millions across our nation," said Annie Kuster. "We have pushed through four long years of division, and it is time for us to come together as Americans to rebuild our nation and pave a better path forward. I know that there will be those out there who are disappointed in this result, but I urge all Americans to focus on what unites us. Regardless of who you voted for, we must face our shared challenges as one people. And, as Joe Biden has said and I echoed on Election Night, 'not blue states or red states, but as the United States of America.' I believe that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are the leaders our country needs to do just that."
