Protecting the Right To Choose: Kuster Releases Third TV Ad
**The full TV ad is available HERE**
Concord, NH — Today, Annie Kuster released her third TV ad of the 2022 election cycle. The ad, which tells the story of Michelle, a mother of six who was told her baby would never survive outside of the womb, makes clear that Kuster is the only candidate who will keep politicians out of private, personal medical decisions.
"I am proud to fight for reproductive freedom and less government interference in our private lives — we don’t need politicians dictating our most personal health care decisions," said Annie Kuster. "My opponent disagrees. His position to criminalize abortion is beyond unacceptable — it is dangerous to the lives and well-being of women and their families across this great country. Thank you to Michelle for bravely sharing her story. I will always fight to protect a woman's right to choose."
"When my family and I found out I was pregnant with our second child, we were ecstatic," said Michelle, a mother of six. "But, a routine ultrasound showed that our baby would never survive outside of the womb. We were then faced with the most difficult decision we have ever had to make. Having an abortion was absolutely the right decision for our family — but Bob Burns wants to take that choice away from the moment of conception, with no exceptions for rape or incest victims, or women like me. The idea that a mother would have to continue a pregnancy all the while knowing their child will not have a life outside of their body is a horrible feeling. A mother should have a choice of how to say goodbye to their baby and how their pregnancy will end. I'm supporting Annie Kuster to protect a woman's right to choose, always."
Kuster’s extreme, anti-choice opponent Bob Burns has made clear that he would vote to restrict abortion across the country, including here in New Hampshire:
In an iVoterGuide survey, Burns said "None" to circumstances where abortion should be allowed.
He has said, “I’m 100% pro-life from conception.”
He advocated for government-run abortion panels to decide whether or not a woman whose life was at risk due to pregnancy could get an abortion.
He would vote for a national abortion ban starting at 6 weeks with no exception for rape, incest, or the well-being of the mother.
