I have known Annie Kuster for decades. She is one of the most sensitive extroverts I’ve ever known. And that trait matters in a politician; while she loves spending time talking with lots of people, she also is a compassionate, perceptive listener. She listens and she cares.

Not surprisingly, Annie is also one of the most unapologetic feminists in elected office. She’s been a fierce advocate for N.H. women and their families. Annie brought together Democrats and Republicans to form the Bipartisan Task Force to End Sexual Violence. Her group helped to pass legislation to hold elected officials in Washington accountable for harassment and pushed for more support to survivors of sexual assault and domestic abuse.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, women are taking it on the chin. The traditional gender power imbalances women face every day are intensified by the pandemic. And, victims of sexual assault and domestic violence are more vulnerable than ever. I’m proud that Annie Kuster has brought experts to the table in Congress to focus on how we can bolster support networks and services in New Hampshire and across the country.

Annie is also standing up for the rights of women to make their own health care decisions. She knows that the government has no place coming between a woman and her doctor. Her position is completely counter to her opponent, who opposes access to abortion in all cases. We need to re-elect Annie Kuster so she can continue to fight for equality for all Granite Staters.
