HOPKINTON, N.H. —New Hampshire Democratic Rep. Annie Kuster is looking to be re-elected for a fifth term representing the state's 2nd Congressional District in Washington.
Kuster said if she and Vice President Joe Biden win the ticket, a national COVID-19 testing strategy and isolating cases, will be top priority, and making sure that we have advancements in treatment of COVID cases. Other countries have done much better than the U.S. because of the lack of leadership here in the Trump administration," Kuster said.
The congresswoman said one thing the pandemic has done is shine a light on rural broadband. "I want to continue my initiatives on access to rural broadband, bringing federal funding to our small towns to make sure that they can get broadband to every home in their community so that everyone has an equal opportunity," Kuster said.
Another big issue facing the district Kuster said is climate change. "I want to make sure that we are reducing CO2 levels and emissions, whether it is automobiles, factories, any aspect of our economy where we can reduce CO2 emissions, we can create jobs through clean energy initiatives," she said.
If re-elected, Kuster will keep fighting for her constituents. "Continue to work on climate change as I have fighting for veterans, working for seniors," she said.
