Kuster Endorsed By Slate of New Hampshire State Senate Candidates
(Concord, NH) — Today, State Senators running for reelection and senate candidates throughout New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District announced their support for Annie Kuster’s re-election to Congress. The group cited Congresswoman Kuster’s commitment to state and federal partnerships in their endorsement.
“A thorough and effective response to the COVID-19 pandemic requires collaboration at every level of government,” said Annie Kuster. “That’s why I’ve been proud to partner with our New Hampshire State Senators and Representatives to combat this virus and provide support for those who need it most. As we build back and look towards the future, I’m excited to continue this important work and am thankful for the support of so many of our community leaders. Together, we’ll get through this.”
“It is so crucial that we have representatives in Congress who work to address our state’s challenges at the local and state level, and Congresswoman Kuster does that and then some,” said President of the New Hampshire State Senate, State Senator Donna Soucy (District 18). “Throughout her time in Congress, Annie Kuster has consistently partnered with us in the state government to help move things forward and deliver real results for Granite Staters. Her work has been instrumental in expanding access to health care, building out rural broadband, and ensuring our police officers, firefighters, and public services have the funding they need. I’m proud to support Congresswoman Kuster, and I look forward to our continued partnership.”
"Congresswoman Annie Kuster is a federal partner Cheshire County can rely on," said State Senator Jay Kahn (District 10). "From fighting for broadband infrastructure to supporting advanced manufacturing training, she knows the investments that need to be made to bring good paying jobs to New Hampshire. Annie has fought tirelessly for increased substance use treatment funding, and her leadership in Washington to pull us out of the pandemic has been unmatched. Annie works every day with local leaders, businesses, and families to push forward our needs and values. I am proud to stand with Annie Kuster in her race to represent NH’s 2nd Congressional District."
“Even before COVID-19 hit, Congresswoman Kuster had a long track record of working with those at the state and local levels to get things done for New Hampshire,” said candidate for State Senate Sue Ford (District 1). “Since this pandemic began, she’s grown on those partnerships, working hard to get our economy back on track. Here in the North Country, we’re looking ahead to how we come out of this stronger, and with Annie Kuster’s plan to build our economy back and her record on fighting for our Granite State hospitals, schools, small businesses, and communities, I’m proud to support her to help us get back on track.”
“I’ve known Annie Kuster for a long time, and the positive impact she’s made on our communities and our state is profound,” said State Senator Cindy Rosenwald (District 13). “The work Congresswoman Kuster has done to bring funding to our state has been a lifeline for those struggling during COVID-19. We have a lot of work to do in order to get through this pandemic, and it’s going to take help from a strong advocate for the Granite State in Congress, and we certainly have that in Annie Kuster.”
