KUSTER STATEMENT FOLLOWING NEW HAMPSHIRE PUBLIC RADIO DEBATE

Concord, NH — Today, Annie Kuster released the following statement after participating in the New Hampshire Public Radio debate with her Republican opponent, Bob Burns:

“I want to thank NHPR for hosting this debate and asking the questions that are most pressing to Granite State voters. During today’s debate, my opponent made his extreme positions clear. He would vote to criminalize abortion nationwide, including in New Hampshire, putting restrictions in place before most women even know they are pregnant. He would cut critical home heating assistance that families rely on as we head into the winter months. He would allow convicted domestic abusers to own firearms and would roll back gun violence prevention policies that are keeping our communities safe. He would defund local law enforcement and the FBI. And, he would cut access to health care and increase the cost of prescription drugs for hardworking New Hampshire families.

“I am proud of my track record fighting for New Hampshire and working to cut costs, keep families safe, and protect our fundamental freedoms. While I am running on real results for New Hampshire, my opponent is running on chaos. That’s the difference, and that is what is on the ballot on November 8th.”
