Concord, NH — Today, Annie Kuster released her first TV ad of the 2022 election cycle. The ad, filmed at Contoocook Creamery at Bohanan Farm, highlights Annie’s track record of standing up to party leadership and ensuring elected representatives work for the people, not the other way around. The 30-second ad features Si Robertson of Contoocook discussing Annie’s strong voting record working to ban stock trading by members of Congress, block congressional pay raises, and ensure Congress is held to a high ethical standard.
“Far too often, people run for Congress to fight for themselves, and not their constituents — but that’s not the way it should be,” said Kuster. “I’m proud to be a voice for Granite Staters and am focused on making sure Washington works for them. We need accountability and transparency from our elected officials. That’s why I was proud to fight to ban stock trading by members of Congress, block congressional pay raises, and vote for sweeping ethics reform for our government. It shouldn’t be too much to ask for the government to do right by the people, and I will continue fighting for New Hampshire values to ensure that’s what we get.”
Background:
Annie Kuster is a fierce advocate for New Hampshire values in Congress. She has consistently voted to keep the government accountable to the people and ensure transparency from congressional leadership.
Earlier this year, she bucked party leadership and fought to ban members of Congress from trading stocks. Kuster believes that the role of elected representatives — regardless of their political stripes — is to serve the people, not make lots of money from their positions.
Annie has consistently voted against congressional pay raises for members of Congress, emphasizing that members of Congress should be delivering for their communities and constituents, not themselves.
And, Annie has consistently fought to change the way Washington works for the better. Earlier this congress, she voted for comprehensive ethics reform legislation to ensure accountability for all elected officials.
